Yes…lies. All lies. Listen to them talk. Out of 10 sentences they utter, you cannot trust 12.
For those who think they’re safe, think again.

I read today’s The Star with shocking disbelieve over the resignation of Shahrir Samad as the top guy of the Backbencher’s Club. Shahrir had asked MPs in the parliament to support a motion being tabled by DAP’s leader Lim Kit Siang to criticise the inteference in the execution of duty by the Malaysian Royal Customs and Excise Department’s office in Melaka by an MP of the ruling party. Despite the thumping applause by MPs for Shahrir, the latter received little or no support by fellow MPs from the ruling party.
Nazri Aziz, in his press statement, later said that even if the MPs from the ruling party support the motion, they should not vote to support it as it came from the Opposition.
Now…members of the ruling party have always said that the Opposition only knows how to oppose every single good thing the ruling party tables in Parliament for the benefit of the rakyat. So why should MPs from the ruling party then not support a good thing that has been tabled by the Opposition? This is destructive politics, where each side only listens to itself.
Now I wonder if Nazri is half-baked or fried…???

Whenever I write something controversial, I’ll be viewed as someone’s lackey. People always think that there is someone or several persons behind me who’d want me to write something as to hurt them.
Well, let me tell you this. I am my own person and no one has ever used me to do their dirty work. When I write I speak my mind.
I’m no one’s lackey and certainly not a puppet like some are.
Too bad I’m human and am in control of myself….unlike some.

It’s difficult to move forward when there is no clear direction. Wait a minute…I meant to say NO DIRECTION. This is stupid…just plain stupid. But what do you expect when the situation itself and those who brought it about are stupid anyway?

Do you fancy some of My Juice? :p

It has been a bad start for 2006. First was Laurence Thong’s passing at Jarak. Then a diver passed away near Johor Baru. Then another diver passed on in Sarawak. Not long after, another one, an experienced instructor in Tioman. Then a Divemaster Trainee got himself injured by a boat’s props. Today, another bad news. Between one to two Discover Scuba Diving students died at Redang.
I’m still waiting for full report on these deaths (or death).
Nevertheless, it has been a bad start.

A lot has been said and mentioned about illegal motor racing and the negative impact it has on the society. No matter what amount of enforcement the government takes, the attitude of the parents is undermining the effort to combat this menace.
As I drove to the office this afternoon, a group of schoolchildren from a high school jumped the red light, doing illegal U-turns, most without any crash helmet (and I doubt if any has a driver’s licence) as they left school.
The government, especially the Transport Ministry, should amend the law and give stiffer jail terms, NOT ONLY to the offenders, but also their parents for allowing them to ride these potential weapons.
I, for one, don’t give a damn if their children die in a motor vehicle accident (although it would be a waste of life if that happens), but I would give a damn if one of these bastards run into my children or the children of those I know.
One other thing the government can do with the removal of the petrol subsidies is to provide free bus transportation for these children to go to school, instead of relying on the (blatantly stupid) generosity of their parents who would rather see their children break the law than abide them.

…and god apparently comes in many flavours…

Alice (seen here on the right with me at Telekom Malaysia in a picture dated 9th August 2003, has now left the company and is working in another place. She’s the one who taught me a lot on how to use the Adobe Premier. In 2004, she, Muaazam and I, made up the first team that went up to do some installation in Langkawi and its peripheral islands. For four months we were there, and only had each other to turn to whenever any one of us was down.
I remember very well how one day she missed her husband so much, and thought she was letting the team down, and I had to console her and help her on her feet again; she spent her 1st wedding anniversary in Langkawi, if I’m not mistaken, and we also organised a small birthday do for her there. We also had lots of fun together, the three of us, at Siti Fatimah restaurant as well as at a nice place on Pantai Cenang. Other than Muaazam, she was the other person in this office who listens to Thai music..and we clicked because of that.
A great asset to the company…now she has moved on to another place.
I wish you all the best, Alice, and hope this friendship and cameraderie lasts forever.
