A Cat Died..

This cat is green

A cat died in the house today…and I killed it. Catslaughter more like it. It was rabid and aggressive and wanted to attack my 2.5 year old son as well as my 8 month old daughter. What I wanted to do was to give it a hard enough knock for it to regret ever coming into the house. It was so aggressive it even tried to pounce on me several times.

One life lost, to protect two others.

Back to Sanity Part Deux

Taken behind dive boat at Long Beach, Tulai, Tioman

The photo above was taken the first time I went back to Tioman after 22 years. It was taken just before my last dive for that trip at Batu Malang (Malang Rock).

This is the paradise that takes me back to sanity. Christopher Cross’s Sailing describes my feelings of Tioman aptly. Tioman, the paradise as I knew it, and as I still know it:

Back to sanity…

Tonight I should be winging my way to Tioman…perhaps for the final time before the season is out. I have my storyboard ready for my video shots. Hope to have a final Tioman video compilation before next week’s out. I just cannot find a way to host it on this site though.

China Launches Shenzou 6

China has launched its second manned-rocket into space, the first with multicrew. It was almost two years ago that it launched its first astronaut into space. Cool.

It took the Soviets slightly more than 3 years after launching Yuri Gagarin into space before they launched their first multi-member crew mission. The US took 4 years after Alan Shepard’s solo space mission before getting a multi-member crew up into space.

Looks like the Chinese are doing a fast-forward version of the Cold War Space Race.

I hope someone would launch a probe to see if the moon landings really took place.
