Your Opinion Does Not Matter

Lately when I talk in the office, I find echoes coming back from an easterly direction. Then I realised that there are lots of people in that general direction with a huge cavity in between their ears…
MUAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA!

Someone asked me to post this comment I made on the Yahoo! Messenger:

I saw my very first Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) in February of 2000 while chit-chatting with a friend who was a manager at a marina in Sabah. We saw this huge thing at the entrance to the marina. My friend and I froze, said nothing, looked at each other, removed all non-waterproof belongings and jumped into the water to swim with the Whale Shark. After what seemed like 10 minutes, the shark was already too far for us to keep up with. We were overjoyed, but then banged our heads because we did not have a camera on us.
So ever since I rediscovered scuba diving, I vowed in July 2005 to fast for a whole week for each Whale Shark I see.
I have not shed any fat since.
This article is a good read for those wanting to know more about the Whale Sharks and its behaviour, and I urge all of you, please, let’s try and save the sharks.
Early this morning, I received an SMS from an unknown number (+60126738633). It was in chinese characters. It said: Who are you? Know how to write mandarin.
So my reply to this person was:Who is this? I cannot read chinese characters and I certainly don’t know mandarin.
Now if that person’ kinda bright, he/she should be thinking, “Why on earth did he say he cannot read chinese characters if he could read my question?”
Freaky for some…hahaha.
You’re not the easiest person I ever got to know
And it’s hard for us both to let our feelings show
Some would say I should let you go your way
You’ll only make me cry
If there’s one guy, just one guy
Who’d lay down his life for you and die
It’s hard to say it
I hate to say it, but it’s probably me
If I leave early on Friday morning, say around 8am, I should be in Mersing by 12.30pm, in time for the 1.30pm speedboat out to Tioman. I should arrive in Tioman at 3pm, should be able to do one shore dive and one night dive. On Saturday, I should be able to do two day boat dives, one shore dive, then go to Tekek to see my dad’s land, and then one night dive. Sunday, I can do another boat dive before going back late in the afternoon.
How many dives is that? 7 dives…not too bad. Not too bad at all.
Now…to find a way to get to Tioman.
Australia may license scuba diving
This may be a good move for Australia. The Marine Park Department of Malaysia has already imposed a fee of RM5.00 (Euro 1.10 or US$1.33 or Japanese Yen 149.00) per visitor per visit to any of the Marine Parks in Malaysia.
Apart from the flash-looking Marine Department offices in the parks, I don’t see how else has the money collected been spent. Hence, the rubbish-dump look of the Pulau Payar Marine Park.
Can someone clarify?
Scuba diver missing in another PADI night diving course accident
This diver went missing after aborting a night dive in rough seas. Why do a night dive course for Advanced Open Water if the sea is rough? Why didn’t the center just limit the dive to experienced divers instead?
Bad publicity for diving.
A 24-year old man is suing the Shanghai Changfeng Park after a shark bit his ear and head while he was scuba diving in the aquarium.
Why build a house by the sea if you are afraid of waves?
