“Yang, I have to work!” protesnya dengan manja.
“Do you know what is better than work? Me eating you out to your heart’s content,” jawabku dalam bahasa orang kampungku.
Dia mengeluh dan mengucup bibirku. Kemudian dia mengeluh lagi. Kemudian, dengan pantas dia mengucup bibirku lagi dengan penuh berahi.
“Can I ask you something in your lingua franca?” tanyaku.
Dia hanya mampu mengangguk, sambil menarik nafas panjang.
“Adakah kelembapan anda berada pada tahap yang tinggi kini?”
Dia hanya mampu memberikan aku satu jelingan yang amat naughty.

I was drawing something or was making paper boats. We were waiting for my father to come home from Bukit Aman so we could leave for a break in Fraser’s Hills (well, my father could have wanted to go there for a meeting or something). Then the news came. My father’s predecessor, Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Hashim, was gunned down near Bukit Mahkamah by communist terrorists while on his way to Bukit Aman from Jalan Kia Peng. It was 7th June 1974. A day later the Royal Malaysian Police became a big part of my life. Every function held at the house was about the police force, everywhere we went there were escorts, hari raya or chinese new year or deepavali celebrations were with either ministers or members of the police force. Once, after an attack on the Police Field Force’s complex at Jalan Pekeliling (then Pekeliling flats), I remember going back home in a V-150 Commando Armoured Personnel Carrier from the Briged Tengah PPH. My friends thought it was so cool. If only they knew how hot and noisy it was in there.
I was first and foremost close to the Guards and Escorts branch of the police because they provided security at our residence, and still know most of them although most have been transferred on promotion to other police stations doing general duties or traffic. When I was still in college, I was close to the Marine Police (since 1971) and the Police Field Force, in particular the 20th Battalion (Senoi Praaq).
Over the years I cemented relationships with the VAT 69 commando unit, the Unit Tindakan Khas (UTK), Unit Udara (Air Wing) and even attended Criminal Investigations course at the Criminal Investigations School at the Police Depot in Jalan Semarak (before the school was integrated as part of the Police College in Cheras).
The police has been in bad light for several years, but over the last general elections, it has proven itself to act independently. This is important as the loyalty of the police should be towards the King and Country, as it is for members of the Armed Forces. I hope the initial good intention of joining the police will be remembered by each and every member of its rank and file so they can continue to protect and serve the rakyat without fear or favour.
I pray that God would guide them in executing their duties, and may He protect them when they leave their families behind to protect us.
Pak Lah Is Betraying The Spirit Of UMNO
That must have been the strongest title ever. I know Pak Lah saved my bacon and that of my North Pole team mates when Anwar and his people abandoned us at the mercy of the Russian mafia back in 1998, it was at the then-Ambassador to Russia’s office that we sought the help of Pak Lah, whom I used to regard as my ‘Jack Ryan’, after Tom Clancy’s alter ego in his novel “Clear And Present Danger.”
When he spoke out against Al Gore’s coarseness and rudeness during the APEC meeting, everyone supporting the BN then thought he was the man for the DPM’s job.
Pak Lah was with my father (who was the police’s representative) in the National Operations Council together with former Chief of Armed Forces, Tan Sri Ghazali Che Mat, and Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Khoo Kay Kim, in helping the late Tun Abdul Razak bring peace back and Malaysians together after the 13th May tragedy that we all so want to put behind.
However, the Pak Lah that I have written about above, is no longer there. The person I see now is a person metamorphosised into a giant monster bug bent on eating everything in its path.

If Para 3.2 is the spirit behind the formation of UMNO, then Pak Lah should know that he is going against the Federal, States and party constitutions. This goes to the same people who put out a banner in protest of the appointment of Ahmad Said as the Menteri Besar of Terengganu saying, “KAMI MAHU IDRIS, NATANG” (We want Idris, Animals). Who are these “Animals” that they were referring to? The palace institution? Someone in Terengganu ought to have lodged a police report for lèse majesté and maybe see if that applies to Pak Lah as well. A copy of this report should also be forwarded to Hishamuddin and his dark-skinned deputy, and tell them this is the time to draw out the keris and start poking it into the anus of the traitors of the Malay cause.
Why am I so uptight about this?
Although I am an UMNO member, I am first and foremost still an officer holding the King’s Commission; therefore I am still a soldier although I have completed my duration of service. My loyalty has always been to the Palace Institution bar any extreme irregularities that may or may have been committed by any of its members. I am not loyal to any political person(s) as those serving the country in political posts were voted in by the people to represent them in managing the country. In short, the people (rakyat) are the bosses and ministers are just our servants. When our housemaid do not perform, we fire them.
As someone mentioned to me last night, “That idea of yours of a military coup seems palatable now.”
