The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel

21 Sept 1952 - 1 July 1976

I watched the re-run of “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”, a movie based on a book of the same name, that was in turn based upon true events in Bavaria, Germany in 1976. The actual character in this exorcism was Anneliese Michel (picture above), a devout Catholic of strict Catholic upbringing, who was possessed by several demons namely Lucifer, Judas Iscariot, Nero, Cain, Hitler, and Fleischmann (a disgraced Frankish Priest from the 16th century). She was first possessed in 1968 when she was just 17. In 1969 she was sent to the Wurzburg Psychiatric Clinic and was diagnosed as having Grand Mal Epilepsy. In 1975, sensing nothing medically wrong with their daughter, her parents turned to exorcisms to heal her.

Arnold Renz and Ernst Alt

For 10 months Father Arnold Renz and Pastor Ernst Alt (shown above) performed rituals according to the Rituale Romanum on Anneliese. 67 rites performed altogether. In the end, as in the movie, she refused to eat and died of malnourishment and severe dehydration. She also suffered from high fever and Pneumonia. She weighed only 30kgs.

I’ve seen some weird stuff, all the way back to when I was 4 years old at least. However, my first time seeing anyone being possessed was back in 1990 when I was doing my Advanced Parachuting Course at the airport in Ipoh. An Air Force female recruit named Rafidah was possessed, and 16 others were down with hysteria. When I was then transfered to the base in Ipoh, and was put in charge of the female recruits, a recruit of mine named Siti Kamisah was possessed. No mass hysteria was recorded with this one, but she was violent. She single-handedly threw six of the male instructors who tried to restrain her, all at the same time. She could also leap over four double-decker bunks and ran through the door of the accommodation block when the door was shut and locked..without altering the state of the door! Cool! She should have been in the Special forces or Intelligence corps. She was in that state on and off for about 4 months before whatever that was inside her could be cast away.

Back to Anneliese, below are several photos taken of her during the exorcism. The link at the end of this posting is of her double-voiced mentioning the names of the demons inside her. This is an excerpt from the numerous recordings made during her exorcism.

Do you believe in the supernatural? Do they exist? The possibility is always there.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton

It was a great race..superb race. Alonso and Lewis Hamilton finished first and second although they started second and fourth on the grid respectively.

Lewis Hamilton, a F1 rookie, is definitely the person to watch.

Missing You

Road map of Bletchley, Milton Keynes

I had a lunch date with a certain young, curly-haired girl with long eyelashes yesterday before my dinner with Gee. After lunch, I carried my date as she was already sleepy by then..and I started humming an old song I liked very much some 22 years ago. This song by John Waite, called Missing You, has a nice melody. I remember always putting on this song as I drive from Bletchley to either Steeple Claydon, Winslow or Silverstone in the England.

The song goes like this:

Everytime I think of you, I always catch my breath
And I’m still standing here, and you’re miles away
And I’m wonderin’ why you left
And there’s a storm that’s raging through my frozen heart tonight

I hear your name in certain circles, and it always makes me smile
I spend my time thinkin’ about you, and it’s almost driving me wild
And there’s a heart that’s breaking down this long distance line tonight

I ain’t missing you at all since you’ve been gone away
I ain’t missing you, no matter what I might say

There’s a message in the wire, and I’m sending you this signal tonight
You don’t know how desperate I’ve become
And it looks like I’m losing this fight
In your world I have no meaning, though I’m trying hard to understand
And it’s my heart that’s breaking down this long distance line tonight

CHORUS:
I ain’t missing you at all since you’ve been gone away
I ain’t missing you, no matter what my friends say

And there’s a message that I’m sending out, like a telegraph to your soul
And if I can’t bridge this distance, stop this heartbreak overload

CHORUS

I ain’t missing you, I ain’t missing you, I can lie to myself

And there’s a storm that’s raging through my frozen heart tonight

CHORUS

Ain’t missing you, I ain’t missing you
I ain’t missing you, I can lie to myself
Ain’t missing you, I ain’t missing you
I ain’t missing you, I ain’t missing you
I ain’t missing you, I ain’t missing you, ain’t missing you, oh no
No matter what my friends might say, I ain’t missing you…

Lost

Dawn sky with 5 planets

What is the force that binds the stars
I wore this mask to hide my scars
What is the power that pulls the tide
I never could find a place to hide

What moves the Earth around the sun
What could I do but run and run and run
Afraid to love, afraid to fail
A ship’s mast without a sail

PDRM – 200 Years On

Polis DiRaja Malaysia

I may have been a military man, but for 28 years of my life (68% of my life as of today), I was part of the Royal Malaysian Police’s family. My father was a Staff Officer, Special Branch, at the Police Headquarters at Bluff Road (now Jalan Bukit Aman in Kuala Lumpur). He then became the Staff Officer, Special Branch, Selangor, a month after I was born.

When I was a year old, he became the Officer in Charge of Police District, Ipoh (OCPD), at the age of 28. 5 days after the May 13th, 1969 tragedy, he served as the Chief of Staff (Police) in the National Operations Council (MAGERAN) under the late Tun Hj Abdul Razak bin Hussein, before becoming the Head of Special Branch, Selangor 7 months later. In less than a year, he was the Chief Police Officer (CPO) for Melaka state (from 7th September 1970) and then the Chief Police Officer for Selangor from 6th December 1971. 13 months later he was the Director of Special Branch at the Police HQ in Bukit Aman, and the Deputy Inspector General of Police 2 days later on the 1st February 1973.

He was made the Inspector General of Police on 8th June 1974 when his predecessor, Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Ismail, was gunned down by communist terrorists next to the Lee Yan Lian building near Bukit Mahkamah (where Maybank building now stands). My father’s last day as the IGP was on the 15th January 1994.
