Expats

There are lots of expats in this country, which is a good sign that the country is one of the places for expats to go to to earn money.

However, there are expats who come here like some colonial shithead, treating locals as if they are slaves. They think that everyone in this country is stupid and does not deserve a look at. When they conduct interviews of locals, especially in the IT sector, they always say Malaysians lack the experience…and they bring in their countrymen who are half-baked “experts” anyway.

Today, I almost punched one of those expats.

I hope to piss on his grave when he dies.

Of Dive Forums (and the old house in a storm)

Forumers from have been sending me private messages, e-mails, and Yahoo! Messenger messages, asking if I’m for real (not wanting to post anymore on MDC).

I am being real here…the only time I changed my mind was the dive destination (even after having paid an organiser for an LOB trip)…because my good friend wanted me to dive in Tioman with the rest. Even that trip was spoilt by unwanted calls and SMS’s…that I wish I could just disappear off the jetty, never to be found alive again.

That is how I feel right now…deep down I wish for the earth to open and swallow me up.

39 years, 2 months and 12 days…the only precious ones holding me back are my daughters and son.

Of Dive Forums..

I have two favorite forums…the Malaysia Diving Community, and Fins Online Forum. I write more in the former as I felt a sense of belonging there.

Of late, the forum has not been any fun. People bickering, some taking things too personally, that one cannot say anything to advice some divers about their dive conducts, especially when the latter is diving with their charge.

Any advice to me is good advice. I have bad habits when diving too…which is why I prefer not to have any buddy (which in turn is bad). And I have been getting advices from those with more experience in diving than I. I appreciate those advices although I may not have to heed to them.

Take it with a pinch of salt, people.

Until you grow up, I bid adieu.

Old House In A Storm

Imagine an old house, leaking zinc roof, rotting pillars…in a heavy storm. The occupant trying hard to cover the leaks with rags, plastic and what-have-you. At the same time the strong winds buffet against the walls, threatening to bring the house down; the occupant shoring the pillars with whatever he has, to not let the house tumble down in the storm.

Having done all that, the occupant prays that the house will ride out the storm. And hopefully, when things are calmer, try repair whatever damage to make the house stronger in case another storm brews.

The story of my life…

International Clean Up Day

I wonder how many people on this planet realised the significance of September 17th.

Come to think of it, I can’t recall when exactly is Mother’s, Father’s and Teacher’s days.

After The Love Has Gone

And oldie…but meaningful:

Somethin’ happened along the way
What used to be happy was sad
Somethin’ happened along the way
And yesterday was all we had
And oh after the love has gone
How could you lead me on
And not let me stay around
Oh oh oh after the love has gone
What used to be right is wrong
Can love that’s lost be found

Tag Heuer

It’s German for Date Hour…

My friend likes this brand of watch.

Dennis now says that everyone wants to get a Personal Dive Computer…so many more can join me for deco dives.

Here at Chinoiz

I am here having lunch with Faizal and Dennis. I had Pita with Hummuz and French Onion Soup. Dennis and Faizal shared two pizzas.

And as usual, I’m logged on to some network somewhere…hehehehe. 12 hours to go before I depart for Mersing.
