Corruption, Cronyism, Nepotism

The above title consists of the very words that are being used by the Opposition, from the days of the Barisan Alternatif through its current form, the Pakatan Harapan.

Those words remain as their battle cry to convince voters that the Barisan Nasional, in particular UMNO, is corrupted to the core.

Hence, when long before 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion story ever happened Najib Razak announced in 2012 that the BN was to have its candidates’ list for GE13 screened by the MACC, everyone treated that as a sign of the end of the world as predicted by the Mayans.

Din Merican’s take on the announcement by Najib Razak in 2012

However, the Barisan Nasional did submit its list of election candidates to the MACC recently, whereas it is the Opposition that has been resisting a similar move!

In an attempt to spin the BN’s move into something negative, left-leaning The Malaysian Incite quoted unnamed sources within UMNO lamenting the arrest of BN figures such as Latif Bandi, Isa Samad et al but failed to mention that that is the same reaction that the PKR and DAP gave when their ranks were arrested for corruption.

Well, my unnamed party insider told me even BEFORE the Haj season that the BN supreme council is happy that far lesser people have thronged the PWTC promoting themselves as GE14’s candidates ever since Najib Razak decided to submit the list to the MACC.

The Pakatan Harapan is far from being clean. Cheats and corrupted people thrive there too with the likes of Adam Rosly, the UNISEL scandal, Chegu Bard’s various reports on corrupted practices by Azmin Ali, the investigation into DAP’s corrupt practices that resulted in the death of Teoh Beng Hock, Phee Boon Poh’s abuse of position, Lim Guan Eng’s double corruption charge, just to name a few.

Let us also not forget chronic liar Rafizi Ramli who was not only found guilty of lying but also for disclosing to the public contents of documents protected under the Laws which is a breach of trust by a Parliamentarian whose job is to protect such trusts.

Recently he was exposed to have been paying himself through his own companies for services rendered to his own company in the region of RM100,000 per transaction. He also solicited funds from the public to help him pay for damages he caused the NFC by publishing lies about them.

Yet, he did not pay up as ordered by the court and chose to allow NFC to file a bankruptcy notice against him. We wonder what happened to the millions of Ringgits collected to pay NFC? Did he use the money to pay his own self?

Yet the PKR chose to protect such compulsive criminals within their ranks thinking that the voters of today have the same IQ as the ones in the 1950s, that they are stupid enough to judge. Hence the reaction by Wan Azizah when the MACC suggested for PKR’s candidates be screened by the latter.

Fan-wielding Taiji master tai-chi-ing all efforts to make PKR clean

DAP, too, reacted negatively towards the MACC’s suggestion. Pulau Pinang’s Deputy Chief Minister Ramasamy a/l Palanisamy said that the MACC cannot vet the DAP’s candidates list as the former lacks the moral authority to do so as it is reticent about those involved in the 1MDB although they have been named by the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

Ramasamy a/l Periasamy

Again this shows the stupidity of the people in the Pakatan Harapan either by defaut or by design, with the latter perhaps trying to make fools out of their supporters.

We all know that the MACC had declared that the donation received by the account of Najib Razak was not from the 1MDB and at no point was Najib Razak ever named in the DoJ case.  He was only mentioned as Malaysian Official 1 because he is not the subject under any form of investigation by the DoJ.

Furthermore, the case that is being investigated by the DoJ, made public more than a year ago, has not gained much grounds as it is based on the reports made by Datuk Botox and Matthias Chang, the office and despatch boys of U-Turn Mahathir.  If it was a solid criminal case, we would be sitting in front of the TV watching CNN while stuffing our face with popcorn.

The party that has a lot to do with corruption thus refusing the MACC’s help to clean its candidates list is the DAP, and not just the PKR.  With Phee Boon Poh, Lim Guan Eng and maybe soon others as well, both the PKR and DAP would have a very short list of candidates that it will not be enough to cover the constituencies it already holds even if all of them ran for both Parliamentary and state seats.

That is also why Lim Guan Eng desperately clings on to power and fights on all corners to have his corruption charges dismissed on technical reasons rather than answering the charges made against him, just as long as he could remain as the corrupted but jail-free Chief Minister.

But of course, in the course of trying to discredit the MACC, Pakatan Harapan would throw everything at the MACC including the kitchen sink and onions too, a tactic they have been using against all government agencies since before the 1969 general elections.  When they lose, they will automatically blame the voters and the voting system.  Then again, what else is new?

This is why the public needs to rally its support towards having cleaner candidates to run for public office.  Although there is nothing in the law that says that candidates must be vetted, the MACC is the agency that should be doing the vetting of candidates to ensure that they do not have the tendency to be corrupted.

Having said that, this is also the reason the MACC should be given more manpower and remuneration reviewed, as should the PDRM, instead of having Paul Low’s JITN to be formed as a new department, burdening the government further with an increased budget.

I do not know what is Paul Low’s agenda in wanting to interfere with the MACC and other institution of integrity but the nasty smell his move has made stinks all the way from Perdana Putra to Padang Besar.  You can read more what a blogger thinks Paul Low is doing and let you be the judge of it. Nothing dissimilar to what Lim Kit Siang is doing now.  But I will come back to that in another post later.

All I know is that for the MACC to combat corruption effectively it needs a boost in manpower and expertise, a boost in remuneration, and a pledge that it shall remain independent as a Commission.

Khairuddin Should Congratulate Guan Eng

Mr Botox is not someone whom I take seriously but sometimes it’s nice to just whack him silly.

His latest tirade is against the MACC for the latter’s press release congratulating UMNO on its 71st anniversary.

MACC’s statement is as fair as you can get in its effort to make corruption the people’s enemy.

The MACC penned its hope that UMNO would support its Gerakan Anti Rasuah (GERAH) drive to rid the nation of corruption.

Khairuddin asked why has the MACC never congratulated whistleblowers such as Rafizi Ramli, Lim Kit Siang and Tony Pua?

Why should they?

Rafizi is a known felon. Last year alone he was convicted four times by a court of law, with one more expected; Lim Kit Siang is a known instigator who has made an about turn on U-Turn Mahathir; Tony Pua is just a loudmouth who fires away hoping something would hit.

Perhaps Mr Botox thinks that the MACC is pandering to UMNO and that UMNO controls the MACC.

Mr Botox being Mr Botox is not a bright person really.

At the launch of GERAH, the MACC had the media such as The Star and Malaysia Nanban as well as representatives from political parties like the DAP and the MIC.

Yes! The DAP was there in the form of the ADUN for Kota Shah Alam YB Ganapathy Rao a/l Veraman, while MIC was in the form of Vice President Datuk T Mohan.

So Mr Botox’s attempt to villify the MACC has come to a nought.

The MACC is trying to be fair to all and it does not help its effort by having people like Mr Botox running them down.

Perhaps he should congratulate Lim Guan Eng’s effort to clear his name by delaying the corruption trial he is being charged for, or ask MACC to investigate the weird theft of the New Gen Party that has had its name changed by Botox and Mr Box Ezam.

When A Flower Withers

Back in September 1998, I asked a fellow ex-serviceman, a known Anwar Ibrahim supporter, of his direction when Anwar declared war on UMNO. His reply was simple but meaningful:

“You don’t burn your house down just because your family hates you. They are still family.”

When U-Turn Mahathir formed Pribumi, many expected UMNO members to dump the latter in throngs and join the former. That never happened.

Anwar’s facade in his war against Mahathir for the premier post was his “fight against nepotism and cronyism.”

Some “changes” did take place within post-Anwar UMNO. Mahathir’s son Mokhzani stepped down as the UMNO Youth’s treasurer while Mukhriz was not allowed to contest for the Youth Chief position.

As it goes in the Old Testament: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil.”

The epitome of nepotism in Pribumi is the naming of Mukhriz as its Deputy President while Mahathir, who holds the Chair, is also the de facto leader, something he failed to become in the UMNO under Najib Razak.

The first hint of problems arising in the months-old party is when Mahathir is seen going around doing roadshows with most of the pro-tem committee members including Mukhriz who is the Deputy President, while Muhyiddin Yassin who is the President appears mostly alone.

Two months after the party’s formation, Khairuddin aka Mr Botox, known as Mahathir’s chow kow or running dog left the party to “concentrate on court cases.”

Five months later, both he and Mr Empty Boxes aka Ezam, headed a party called New Gen Party and changed its name to Parti Bebas Rasuah.

Several days ago, the President of the New Gen Party, Kumaar Aaman, and its Secretary-General Mohamad Zaini Jaafar, lodged a report to the police and Registrar of Societies claiming that Ezam had stolen his party.

Barely two months after the departure of Mr Botox, a scandal erupted in Pribumi. Internal rivalry saw the exposure of steamy WhatsApp conversations screen captures between Anina Saadudin and her supposed sex partner. The exposé was done by none other than her own assistant, Haiyan Uqba.

Anina, who is a Mahathir loyalist is rumoured to be at loggerheads with the Osman sisters from Perak. Whether or not they are involved in the scheme to oust Anina is yet to be proven.

Early last month, 500 members of the party from the Rembau division quit the party en masse.  According to the PPBM Chief Activist for Negeri Sembilan, Mohd Anas Sudin, he and the 500 have lost their confidence in the party leadership.

Last week, the Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia (GKCM) decided to withdraw its support for the party’s leadership. The movement claims to have 5,000 supporters.

This was followed today by the resignation from all party posts as well as the leaving of the party by one of its founding members, Kamarulazman Habibur Rahman.

Kamarulazman said that the leadership of Pribumi has their head high in the clouds and are too fixated on becoming the PM.

“Those who worked really hard for the party are now being treated as second-class citizens,” he said.

He added that his departure from Pribumi is being followed by 821 members nationwide, mostly from Negeri Sembilan.

In a feeble attempt to hide the truth, Syed Saddiq attributed Kamarulazman’s departure to “threats” from the government  as he is a teacher.

If this is so, are the 1,321 former members of Pribumi teachers too?

However, when expelled from UMNO in March 2016, Kamarulazman made mention that he does not fear losing his job as a teacher for supporting the Opposition.

It’s not a secret that hundreds of teachers support the Opposition yet they are still teaching. So what excuse can Syed Saddiq give now?

Perhaps, as pointed by blogger Anotherbrickinwall, Mahathir too would leave the divided new party.

I doubt any party would take him. DAP, the favourite choice, is filled with people opposed to the idea of working with Mahathir, let alone allowing him to join.

The same goes to PKR.

Perhaps it is time for Mahathir to leave the withering flower and consider retirement from politics and join the only party that would probably make him happy.

The Best Time To Sue On The RM2.6 Billion Donation

King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud salutes the colours
King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud salutes the colours

King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia arived in Kuala Lumpur for a four-day state visit yesterday, making Malaysia his first choice of nation to visit since taking over the throne from King Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Saud who died two years ago.  His visit is the third to Malaysia by any Saudi King.

The first visit by a Saudi King was in 1970 by the late King Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Saud, followed by the late King Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Saud in 2006.  No Saudi King visited Malaysia for 36 years between 1970 to 2006.

Unbeknownst to many, Malaysia especially under the current administration is looked upon with high respect in the global scene, thanks to the tireless diplomacy conducted by both Prime Minister Najib Razak and Foreign Minister Anifah Aman.  Saudi would contact Malaysia at least every fortnightly to consult on many things including on matters involving the Middle East.  Malaysia’s stance on the Middle East countries, for example,  plays a huge role on how Saudi shapes its foreign policy.

It is of no surprise then when King Salman announced at the state banquet in his honour at the Istana Negara that Saudi is prepared to render Malaysia assistance to the latter’s initiatives to help Muslims.

We are ready to extend assistance and all resources that we have to help Malaysia realise its efforts to help other Muslims,” he said.

A day prior to King Salman’s arrival, U-Turn Mahathir made a veiled reference to the Saudi King, accusing him of lying and giving Malaysia money in want for something in return.

The no-balls comment made by U-Turn Mahathir
The no-balls comment made by U-Turn Mahathir

In 2015, Saudi Arabia donated a total of USD 115 billion to help 90 nations around the world.  The USD700 million given to Malaysia back in 2013 is not even one percent of the amount.

screen-shot-2017-02-27-at-09-39-11

Furthermore, even ABC Australia’s investigative documentary ‘Four Corners‘ confirmed in 2016 that the USD700 million had nothing to do with 1MDB-linked companies.  The only allegation made which the US Department of Justice had based its investigation on was by U-Turn Mahathir’s errand-boy Khairuddin.

The Four Corners report confirms what the Prime Minister has maintained all along, and what multiple lawful authorities concluded after exhaustive investigations: the funds were a donation from the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia.”

I am surprised that none of those who accused Najib of soliciting the RM2.6 billion (USD700 million) donation for himself has held a placard at the Parliament building to ask where has the donated money gone to.  Mahathir was not at the state banquet – it was the best opportunity for him to ask in person about the donation.

Even blabber-mouth Tony Pua is evidently and conveniently missing, choosing to be away from Malaysia when the Saudi King is here.

Lari! So that no one could ask "Why didn't you ask about the RM2.6 billion?"
Lari! So that no one could ask “Why didn’t you ask about the RM2.6 billion?”

Every detractor has gone missing or in hiding or crying beneath the shower as the best opportunity to hand over a suit over the “missing” RM2.6 billion slowly disappears.

This IS the best time to sue, people.  Not only did the Saudi Royal Family give RM2.6 billion, it has now brought RM62.26 billion on this trip!  Show some balls! This is the time!

Then again, if even Pakatan’s de facto leader U-Turn Mahathir dared not reveal the identity of the person he accused, what chance do you think his coward minions would dare to show the top of their head?

Adakah Muhyiddin Sanggup Berbohong Demi Mahathir Dan DAP?

Lain dulu lain sekarang. Inilah akibat lidah bercabang
Lain dulu lain sekarang. Inilah akibat lidah bercabang

"Gua tak bohong punya orang," kata Muhyiddin menerangkan mengenai kebaikan BR1M
“Gua tak bohong punya orang,” kata Muhyiddin menerangkan mengenai kebaikan BR1M

Kalau beliau menyokong kenyataan Mahathir bermakna beliau memang pembohong.

Ainina menggelar Pribumi sebuah parti bodoh
Ainina menggelar Pribumi sebuah parti bodoh

Muhyiddin teraksa mendiamkan diri.

Fikir-fikirkanlah sebelum memilih.

Tetapi tertanya-tanya juga…apa kata Muhyiddin sekarang mengenai BR1M?

Bagus BR1M ni. Shafie pun tolong Muhyiddin agihkan dulu
